Dome Explosions & Flying Fire PDF

Great lab to teach about composite volcanoes and why they explode. The students will look at how the pressure inside these volcanoes increases to the point where the dome explodes, spewing lava into the air. They will then simulate the explosion using test tubes, vinegar, and baking soda. Grades 5-8
