Product Description
Great lab to teach about composite volcanoes and why they explode. The students will look at how the pressure inside these volcanoes increases to the point where the dome explodes, spewing lava into the air. They will then simulate the explosion using test tubes, vinegar, and baking soda.
Demo Pack includes: 7/8 oz vial baking soda, 1 oz bottle vinegar, 20 x 150 test tube, 9" balloon, 12 oz. plastic cup, 1 each of aa, andesite, breccia.
Study Group Pack includes: 4 7/8-oz vials baking soda, 4 1-oz bottles vinegar, 4 20 x 150 test tubes, 4 9" balloons, 4 12-oz. plastic cups, 4 each of aa, andesite, breccia.
