Alginate Solution 1%

Alginate is a solution of brown seaweed.  when it is introduced into a salt solution, a skin forms around the liquid, forming what appears to look like fish eggs and worms.  Add a little food coloring and they are easier to see; add a little mango, blueberry, or maple syrup, and they are a tasty treat that doubles as a science experiment on polymers.
