- Seaweed Caviar & Instant Worms PDF
Product Description
This item includes only the instructions to perform this activity. Colored alginate (liquefied brown seaweed) is dropped and drizzled into a solution of calcium chloride. When the alginate hits the solution, it instantly polymerizes a skin that surrounds the liquid, forming what appears to be small egg-like caviar and worms. Wonderful polymer reaction and a great example of a chemical change. Grades 4-8
