Product Description
For use with the Paper Clip Drip Lab A pair of 2” x 2”, wood blocks with a small hole drilled in the center. They are used to support a 14” copper wire that is used to demonstrate the conduction of heat through a metal. 10 paper clips are attached to the wire using small beads of wax. A lit candle is placed directly under one end of the wire. The stopwatch is started, heat is conducted and, as each paper clip drops from the wire when the wax can no longer support it, the time is recorded.
