Wire - Memory

This is a really cool alloy. Memory wire remembers its shape after you bend it into any configuration. All you have to do is shove the bent wire through a candle flame and it straightens right out. It is used as a shunt in heart valves, as a thermal trigger in heating and cooling applications, and to impress kids with your ability to magically command metal to “straighten up.”
