Paper Clip Drip Materials

Using a ball of wax, you will attach a paper clip to a copper wire. One end of the wire is then heated, and the paperclips fall, one after another, from the wire. The point of the lab is to measure how long is takes for the heat to be conducted along the wire, causing the paperclips to fall.

Demo Kit includes: 2 wire support blocks, 1 14" copper wire, 1" bar of wax, 10 paperclips, 1 votive candle, 1 book of matches

Classroom Kit includes: 20 wire support blocks, 10 14" copper wires, 10 1" bars of wax, 1 box of paperclips, 10 votive candles, 10 books of matches
