Metal Element Flame Test Materials

Seven different chemicals are heated in an alcohol flame. Each flame will be different color, and that color is specific to the element that is being heated. It is unique to that element, just like a fingerprint is unique to you. A rainbow of fire to introduce the Periodic Table of the Elements or reward the kids with a cool, ooh aah lab activity.
