Conglomerate or Concrete? Materials

We are surrounded with resources that we use all day long. This lab will give the kids an opportunity to look at some common items and trace them back to their origins.

Demo Pack includes:  1.5" iron ore, 16-penny nail, 1.5" quartz monzonite, 1.5" concrete, 1.5" bituminous coal, packing peanut, craft stick, particle board strip, 3"x4" baggie of sand, 2" glass lens, 4 oz portion cup.

Study Group Pack includes:  4 1.5" iron ore, 4 16-penny nails, 4 1.5" quartz monzonite, 4 1.5" concrete, 4 1.5" bituminous coal, 4 packing peanuts, 4 craft sticks, 4 particle board strips, 4 3"x4" baggies of sand, 4 2" glass lenses, 4 4-oz portion cups.

Classroom Pack includes:  10 1.5" iron ore, 10 16-penny nails, 10 1.5" quartz monzonite, 10 1.5" concrete, 10 1.5" bituminous coal, 10 packing peanuts, 10 craft sticks, 10 particle board strips, 10 3"x4" baggies of sand, 10 2" glass lenses, 10 4-oz portion cups.
