Adaptable Cactus PDF

This lab takes a peek at the adaptations cacti have made to survive in the very harsh environments in which they live. The kids will create a model of a cactus using paper towels, wax paper, toothpicks, and brightly colored paper. They will explore water storage, temperature management, and predator and reproductive strategies that have evolved to allow the cacti to thrive. Grades 4-8.
