Sodium Bicarbonate, Powder

Ordinary baking soda - there is probably an open box sitting in your fridge.  A basic compound that is mixed with aluminum sulfate to make a lava flow, vinegar to shoot stoppers out of test tubes, and produces a warm color when dipped in litmus paper.
