One of my all-time favorite labs. Excellent for emphasizing the importance of observation skills in the lab and introducing the scientific method. Mountain Dew is a yellow-green liquid that could very easily appear to be sewer water, and raisins might be taken for sewer maggots. Put them together and you have a Sewer Maggot Smoothie. Grades 2-8
