Imported from Mexico, this brilliant gold colored mineral is an educational grade quality specimen that can be used in mineral tests to illustrate the importance of a streak test. Real gold produces a gold streak. Pyrite produces a gray streak. Guess that is why they call it “fool’s gold,“ they didn’t pay attention in geology class. Very good example of a cubic crystal habit as well.
