Great Ice Cube Rescue PDF

Hand each kid a cup with an ice cube in it. Challenge them to get the ice cube out of the cup without tipping the cup or touching the ice cube. The solution is to sprinkle salt on a string while it lays on top of the ice cube. The water on the top of the ice cube then freezes the string to the cube, and you can simply lift the ice out of the cup. Grades K-4
