Product Description
There are three parts to this lab. First, the kids look at how water changes, physically, when it is frozen. Second, they compare the top of a glacier with the bottom, which has plucked sand and pebbles from the country rock. Third, they get to create lateral and terminal moraines by pushing a "glacier" downhill in an erosion box, When they are done they should be able to identify the processes that create and move glaciers, as well as how they erode the landscape and produce landforms. Grades 5-8
