Fan Blasted Dunes PDF

An introduction to the process of erosion by wind and how we currently believe it creates landforms. It is designed to be a demo, probably outside, unless you are fond of sand all over your classroom. You will pour a pile of sand on a concrete area and draw its location and shape. A fan will be placed near the pile and the wind will go to work moving it from one place to another. The kids will return at appointed times to take measurements and record their observations. Grades 6-8
