Crater Construction Recreated Materials

Introduces the kids to four different kinds of craters and the anatomy of a crater. Gives them a visual reference for how craters are formed on the surface of the moon. This is accomplished by dropping marbles into a pizza box full of cornstarch covered with a thin smattering of hot chocolate powder. 7 pages Grades 5-8
