Bird Tracks

There is a layer of rock in the Green River Formation that is exposed at Soldier Summit in Utah. As you walk the talus hills, you can find 50-million-year-old fossil bird tracks. These are three-toed tracks that create very distinct impressions in the rocks. Excellent example of a trace fossil.
