Product Description
These fossils are from the high desert of Morocco. Crinoids are called sea lilies. The calyx is the top part of the animal that would correlate to the petals of a flower. The feather-like arms would wave back and forth in the water and, when they came in contact with small protozoans, capture them for dinner. Kind of like a modern day sea anemone. Fossil Profile: Crinoids. Lab: Carnivorous Sea Lilies.
