Trilobite - Dicalymine

These bottom dwellers are the precursors to modern day insect families. They have three distinct sections, hence the name trilobites, and the optical regions are easily visible. Trilobites were a dominant marine life 600 million years ago, and more than 33 species have been identified. These will provide the kids with a high-interest fossil that is relatively inexpensive, as some of their relatives go for upwards of $20,000 for an individual sample.
